Foreign reporters treated to tour of Beijing´s Olympic venues

100 journalists from some 40 media organizations have been treated to a tour of the National Grand Theatre and Beijing's Olympic venues at the invitation of the Media Center for the 17th CPC National Congress.
On Thursday, the reporters were taken to the National Olympic Stadium, also known as the "Bird's Nest". English and Chinese guides briefed them on its construction and future use in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

Curiosity was aroused, prompting some of them make field reports from the site. The day before, the foreign journalists toured the National Grand Theatre, which is currently under a test operation. Besides learning about its facilities and functions, they viewed opera rehearsals.
