Special Report:   British PM visits China

Two Chinese warships are scheduled to take part in a joint drill with an aircraft carrier from the British Royal Navy. Monday's exercise will be the first of its kind between the two navies.

The 5,800-ton destroyer Guangzhou and the supply ship Weishanhu are on a four-day visit to the United Kingdom. They are two of the most modern in China's South Sea Fleet.

Crew members have visited two of Royal Navy's aircraft carriers and taken part in sporting and social events with their British counterparts.

It's been six years since Chinese warships were last in the UK. They will also call at naval bases in France and Spain.
