During a two-day meeting between the DPRK and the US, Pyongyang agreed to a timeline for denuclearization for the first time since the crisis erupted in late 2002. The nuclear issue will be high on the agenda of the October summit in Pyongyang between South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun and the DPRK leader Kim Jong Il.
