The central government delegation led by Vice President Zeng Qinghong is back in Beijing after a 5-day trip to the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

Zeng attended the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Autonomous Region and did a few local tours. At the Xing'an League, Zeng Qinghong urged the local people to ensure a stable farmland acreage for national food safety.

Zeng said grain output has to be increased to make the region a grain base for northern China. The Xing'an League boasts nearly one-and-a-half million hectares of forest.

Zeng also visited the armed police stationed in the league and urged them to be vigilant in combating forest fires.
