Chinese President Hu Jintao will attend the seventh Summit of the SCO next week in Kyrkyzstan's capital city of Bishkek. After that, though, he'll go onto Russia to watch the ongoing anti-terrorism drill.

The Foreign Ministry says the president's five day schedule includes official visits to Kyrkyzstan and Khazakstan, the SCO Summit and observing the joint anti-terrorism drill involving the members of the Organization.

SCO members will sign a Treaty on long term regional friendship, seen as a significant document regulating the member countries' relationship.

In addition to the observers who attended the last summit, representatives of Turkmenistan and the UN will also be invited.

Li Hui, Chinese assistant FM, said, "The leaders will review the development and the achievement of the organization over the past year, and sign a series of documents on the political, economic and cultural cooperation, and prescribe the future cooperation among the member countries."

After the summit, president Hu Jintao will visit Chelyabinsk in Russia to watch the anti-terrorism drill.

He will meet Russian president Vladimir Putin twice---during the summit and the drill.

The exercise is designed to improve the capability of the member countries' armies to fight terrorism.

Li Hui said, "This is the first drill involving armies of all the member countries. The joint anti-terrorism drill doesn't aim at any country and organization. It conforms to the organization's theme of non confrontation and nonalignment."
