Ramen noodle soup is one of Japan's favorite dishes because they're cheap, fast and tasty. And now they're no longer just for dinner.

The resort is located in the famous Hakone hot springs area just an hour's drive from Tokyo.

The spa's water looks hot and murky that's because it includes healthy components of the pork-based ramen soup.

Ichiro Furuya is a famous local ramen chef and has been involved in the development of the ramen spa.

Ichiro Furuya said, "The water doesn't taste like ramen. But, it includes all the good stuff from ramen soup such as protein and garlic so the water works on skin and can help cure diseases. You cannot eat it though."

The ramen extract added to the spa is made to look like ramen noodles to entertain customers and it immediately dissolves in the water.

Watanabe Masanori, Hakone Yunessen planning manager, said, "Hot tub is a part of Japanese traditional culture. However, we are trying to emphasize the entertaining aspect of the hot tub culture so that our customers can always enjoy a different experience."

Japan is well known for its abundant hot-springs and its volcanic landscape has led to a long tradition of hot tubs.
