One killed, 50 injured as severe weather hits Heilongjiang

In northeast China, severe weather has pounded the province of Heilongjiang. Heavy rains, hail, and harsh winds smacked the region. According to officials, one person has been killed and at least 50 injured.

Heilongjiang province is in the northernmost part of China. The storm hit Monday afternoon, killing one person.

In the villages of Jiabei and Baihua three hundred and sixty two trees have blown down. And, over 20,000 people have been affected by the storm. Fire, caused by lightning, has destroyed several homes as well.
