China enhances ties with Indonesia, Barbados

China's top legislator Wu Bangguo has met Indonesia's Vice President Yusuf Kalla and Barbados' Prime Minister, Owen Arthur.

At the meeting with Yusuf Kalla, Wu Bangguo said cooperation between their countries is mutually beneficial and also helps to promote China-Asean relations. He said the National People's Congress of China is willing to maintain cordial relations with the Indonesian parliament.

Yusuf Kalla agreed, and hopes his visit will attract more Chinese investment both in capital and technology. During his visit, Yusuf Kalla is to visit a hybrid-rice project in Chengdu, Southwest of China and will go to the Three Gorges Dam in Yichang, Hubei Province.

In his meeting with Prime Minister Owen Arthur, Wu Bangguo thanked the government of Barbados for its support for the One-China policy. He said China is willing to expand cooperate in agriculture, finance, tourism and other fields.
