Libyan, Egyptian and Chadian leaders meet over Darfur talks

Libyan, Egyptian and Chadian leaders have met in the Libyan capital of Tripoli, to discuss the situation in Sudan's troubled Darfur region.

Tuesday's talks in Libya came one day after Sudanese leader Omar al-Bashir's surprise visit to Cairo, where he met with his Egyptian counterpart Hosni Mubarak.

The two discussed a reconciliation deal the Sudanese leader signed with Chad's president last week. The two neighboring countries pledged to work together to quell the violence spilling over from Darfur, and to prevent opposition groups from staging cross-border attacks.
