In China, rescuers have recovered the bodies of five more miners who died as a result of Saturday's gas blast in a coal mine in Linfen, in Shanxi Province. This brings the confirmed death toll to 28. But the search goes on for two miners still trapped underground.

The fate of the two remaining coal miners trapped in the mine is not known. About 100 rescuers are trying to provide ventilation to the shafts, where the gas is still thick. The blast occurred around 2 p.m. on Saturday. 125 miners were working underground at the time.
