President Hu makes first stop at Cameroon

In Africa, Chinese President Hu Jintao has arrived in the Cameroonian capital of Yaounde. Hu will visit eight African countries during his current tour.

The Chinese president's visit is being called a journey of friendship and cooperation. The trip is also a major follow-up to last November's Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.

Hu will meet with his Cameroonian counterpart, Paul Biya to discuss ways to strengthen friendship and expand cooperation between the two countries.

Cameroon is the first stop on Hu's eight-nation tour. He will also visit Liberia, Sudan, Zambia, Namibia, South Africa, Mozambique and Seychelles.
