Top leaders of the Communist Party have been discussing the national fight against corruption.

General Secretary Hu Jintao said the anti-graft campaign has scored some big successes, particularly in tackling commercial bribery and corrupt officials. But he said corruption is still rampant in a number of fields. Hu Jintao stressed that joint efforts are needed to nip corrupt activities in the bud. This year's anti-corruption drive has resulted in the sacking of top officials in major cities like Beijing and Shanghai.
