One-on-one consultation between US and DPRK scheduled

The ongoing six-party talks on the DPRK nuclear issue, which has entered its second day in Beijing.

Yesterday's talks were the first after discussions stalled over a year ago.

A highlight of today is the planned one-on-one consultation between delegations of the US and the DPRK. The talks are scheduled for this afternoon.

The six-party talks, which were launched in 2003 involves China, the DPRK, the US, South Korea, Russia and Japan. So far, there have been five rounds. The delegations are trying to achieve denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula.
