China will work with ASEAN to explore fighting HIV/AIDS

State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine has said that China will work with ASEAN to explore fighting HIV/AIDS with herbal medicines. This is for the improvement of AIDS prevention by relevant countries.

Health officials and medical experts from ASEAN member countries have come to China to discuss ways to put herbal medicine to work in the battle against AIDS. Medical institutes from both parties agreed to share information, cooperate on scientific research and in human resource training.

During the meeting the efforts to fight AIDS using TCM in China's central Henan province drew widespread attention.
