A series of blasts killed nearly a dozen people in Iraq on Sunday. At least five people were killed in explosions that ripped through Baghdad as Muslims prepared for Eid al-Fitr-- a festival celebrating the end of Ramadan, the Muslim holy month marked by daytime fasts and nighttime feasts. Elsewhere in Baghdad, two bombs exploded within half of an hour of each other in an open air market, killing three civilians and wounding a dozen more. And two more roadside bombs went off in New Baghdad, an eastern neighborhood of the capital city. Two civilians were killed, and many others were injured.
