Nepal´s president orders parliament to pick new PM

On Sunday, President Ram Baran Yadav sent a letter to parliament to start procedures for the formation of a majority government.
The third largest party in the Constituent Assembly, the Communist Party of Nepal - Unified Marxist-Leninist, has accepted a suggestion from the second largest party, the Nepali Congress, to lead the next government.
The CPN-UML has formally announced the party's senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal as its prime ministerial candidate.
The two parties also called on the UCPN-M to join the coalition government. But the UCPN-M said it will join only if the president withdraws his move to reinstate the army chief. And,the party also warned it will continue to demonstrate to block a new prime minister from being voted in.
