Democratic candidate Barack Obama and his former rival Hillary Clinton stood together, seeking to swing the state of Florida to vote Democrat.
Clinton shared nearly equal billing with the man who beat her for the Democratic presidential nomination. She asked her supporters to do everything they could to help Obama win in November.
Hillary Clinton, Former Democratic Presidential Candidate, said, "The answer is to join me in doing everything you can to make sure we have a great victory on November the fourth for the next president of the United States, Barack Obama."
Earlier in North Carolina Obama shared his views on the future. He says the presidential race will likely go down to the wire.
He also says the US will have to be realistic about what he can accomplish if he becomes President. And that the country will also have to focus on changing its energy policy.
Barack Obama, Democratic Presidential Candidate, said,
"There's no doubt. We think that the race will tighten, just because that's what happens at the end of campaigns."
Obama had been unable to reduce McCain's solid lead in Florida polls, despite out-spending and out-staffing his opponent.
But since the widespread financial meltdown, Florida, like other key states, has started looking better for him.
Winning the state's 27 electoral votes could ease Obama's path to the 270 electoral votes needed to win the presidency.
