Chinese president meet foreign leaders on eve of Beijing Olympics

Hu Jintao also met the President of the Republic of Montenegro, Filip Vujanovic. He vowed to use the opportunity to discuss boosting bilateral ties and other issues of common concern.

Vujanovi said the two countries had stepped up cooperation in various areas. He extended his sincere wishes for China to host a "splendid" Olympics.

While meeting with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Hu called him an old friend of the Chinese people.
