Costa Rica established diplomatic relations with China in June, after it broke ties with Taiwan. Last year, Costa Rica's export volume to China reached nearly 1.1 billion US dollars. And it imported more than 600 million US dollars worth of goods, riding the wave of a ten-year growth of bilateral trade.
