Abbas seeks Egypt support on unity gov´t

Abbas held talks with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak earlier and discussed restarting the Palestinian-Israeli peace process.

Abbas refuted suggestions in the Israeli media of a break with the Israeli government.

Abbas said, "Olmert didn't say that he will cut ties with me, and I can prove this because we have already agreed on a meeting between us within one or two weeks, and we will continue to follow the discussions and the dialogue."

But Abbas stressed that the two-state solution is the basis for negotiations with Israel.
