Food prices in the Chinese market are continuing to ease after the Spring Festival. Statistics show that most vegetables have seen their prices fall by 3 percent to 10 percent compared with the previous week.

The price of Chinese cabbage dropped over 10 percent in 11 provinces and municipalities. The prices of pork, beef, eggs and seafood also declined in most areas. Egg prices were down 0.2 yuan per kilogram thanks to its production peak. Data also shows that prices of cooking oil and dairy products have stabilized.
