Terminal 3 of the Beijing Capital International Airport is scheduled to begin operation on February 29th. And 25 airlines including China Airlines and British Airways will move into the new terminal in three batches.

According to Capital International Airport, on February 29, six airlines will begin using Terminal 3 including Quantas Airlines, Qatar Airways, British Airways and Israeli Airlines and two Chinese airlines. On March 26, an additional 19 airlines will move in. All other airlines will stay put.

With the opening of Terminal 3, the airport shuttles will stop at all three terminals of the airport. For other passengers who drive cars or take the taxi, the southern lane of the airport expressway leads directly to Terminal 3. Furthermore, the airport rail will be complete and put into operation before the Olympics to provide a convenient way for passengers to get to the airport.

Guan Yin, Spokesman of Police Station of BCIA said "There is a connecting road between T3 and the other two terminals, which is about 7 kilometers long. Passengers should get to the airport ahead of time to avoid missing their flight."

BCIA will arrange transfer buses connecting each terminal.

Terminal 3 consists of three functional areas of Zone C,D and E. And Zone D will be temporarily used for charter flights during the Olympics and Paralympics.
