Beijing Capital Airport's third terminal is all set to start  operations later this month after almost four years in intense  construction.

The terminal is designed to accommodate passenger volumes of as much as 76 million. It's also made in the likeness of a dragon, with the head of the mythical figure being reserved for domestic flights, while the tail-end will be used for international flights.

The main body will be used temporarily for charter flights during the Olympic Games in August. The new terminal also boasts an automatic system for luggage sorting and transport which is expected to process up to 20,000 pieces of luggage every hour.
