大提琴首席：马新桦

　　CCTV.com消息：马新桦出生于上海，先后毕业于上海音乐学院（学士）、耶鲁大学（硕士）、南加州大学（高级演奏文凭），先后师从林应荣、奥尔多?帕里佐和埃莉诺?匈费尔德等教授。

　　1988年，美国国家广播电视台特别节目以“一位前途无量的大提琴家”专题报道了马新桦。一年后，她被授予俄亥俄州荣誉市民称号和俄亥俄州的金钥匙。1991年，她被列入美国国家注册所的《谁是谁――行政官员和专业人才领域》全书中。她是唯一一位两度荣获（1988年和1989年）“哈默-罗斯特波维奇基金奖”的音乐家。1997年，为庆祝香港回归祖国，她在香港市政厅音乐厅举行个人独奏会，此演奏会是“中国最具前途的音乐家”系列演出之一。

　　马新桦曾在美国、加拿大和欧洲等地举行过独奏音乐会，她还以独奏家的身份与新英格兰室内乐团、圣地亚哥交响乐团、大峡谷音乐节交响乐团、坦格伍德音乐节交响乐团、布里斯托尔交响乐团、斯洛文尼亚国家广播交响乐团、中国爱乐乐团、上海爱乐乐团和广州交响乐团均有过成功的合作。她的演奏受到欢迎和好评。《洛杉矶时报》写到：“马新桦演奏德沃夏克的大提琴协奏曲非常具有说服力，并能够准确无误地表现作曲家的音乐。”《圣地亚哥联合报》评论马新桦的演奏“热情洋溢、技巧娴熟，从她乐器上流淌出的旋律充满激情和渴望，并且如歌一样的美丽”。《斯洛文尼亚共和国报》评论她的音乐会为：“简直是一顿令人心满意足的精神晚宴！马新桦的音乐具有诗般的细腻和微妙的变化，因此证明了她是一位很讲究的音乐演奏者，与此同时她具有内在戏剧性的演奏风格。” 2000年，她在波士顿首演了马克?罗西的大提琴作品。

　　马新桦还是上海弦乐四重奏组的创建人之一，在丁芷诺教授的指导下，她于1985年与该四重奏组在英国朴茨茅斯国际弦乐四重奏比赛上荣获二等奖。她曾担任美国圣地亚哥交响乐团的首席大提琴。她还曾被美国休斯顿交响乐团邀请为特约大提琴首席。马新桦现任中国爱乐乐团大提琴首席。

　　Xinhua Ma Cellist

　　Born in Shanghai, China, Xinhua Ma is a graduate of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, B.A. of School of Music of Yale University and M.M. of the University of Southern California, Advanced Studies where she studied with the renowned Profs. Lin Ying-Rong, Aldo Parisot and Eleonore Schoenfeld.

　　In 1988, Xinhua Ma was featured on NBC TV as 'A cellist with unlimited future!'. A year later, she was presented with the Key to the State of Ohio and bestowed an honorary citizenship from Ohio. Ms. Ma is the only two-time recipient of the Hammer-Rostropovich Award in 1988 and 1989. In 1997, to celebrate the return of Hong Kong to China, she gave a recital in Hong Kong City Hall as a part of 'the Most Promising Musicians from China' series.

　　Ms. Ma has given recitals in the USA, Canada, countries in Europe, China, and such area as Hong Kong. She has been the guest soloist with the Chamber Orchestra of New England, the San Diego Symphony Orchestra, the Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra, the Tanglewood Music Festival Orchestra, the Bristol Symphony Orchestra, the Slovenia National Radio Orchestra and the China Philharmonic Orchestra, Shanghai Philharmonic and Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra. The Los Angeles Times reviewed her performance as such "Ms. Ma played Dvorak's concerto with authority and unmistakable sympathy for the composer's music". The San Diego Union wrote:"Cellist Xinhua Ma played with warm, effusive tone and dexterous extended finger technique. She also delivered a passionate and yearning performance, coaxing a beautiful rounded cantabile tone from her instrument." The Republic of Slovenia reviewed her concert as "An Evening of Spiritual Satisfaction! Special poetic energy with all nuances which define Xinhua Ma to be a refined music interpreter; equally present was her original temperament in dramatic contrasts". In the fall of 2000, she premiered Marc Rossi's cello composition in Boston. She has recorded for Pristine and New Mix music.

　　Xinhua Ma was also a founding member of the Shanghai String Quartet, with whom she won the second prize, under the guidance of Prof. Ding Zhinuo in the International String Quartet Competition chaired by Yehudi Menuhin in Portsmouth, England, in 1985. Ms. Ma has served as the principal cellist of the San Diego Symphony Orchestra in the USA, and has invited by the Huston Symphony Orchestra as guest principal cellist. Presently, she is the principal cellist of the China Philharmonic Orchestra.
