YANGON, May 1 (Xinhua) -- An information and communication technology (ICT) exhibition, aimed at empowering people with IT knowledge and getting in touch with modern IT equipment, was inaugurated at the Tatmataw Hall in the former capital city Yangon Friday.

10th ICT Exhibition 2008 at Tatmadaw Hall

The three-day exhibition, sponsored by Myanmar Computer Professionals Association, will run until this weekend.

With about 176 show rooms, a total of 71 companies will display up-date computer and its accessories, electrical goods, digital devices, communication accessories, computer-related electronic devices, software and documents related to computer technology.

In February this year, similar ICT exhibition, taken part by 50companies, was also held by Myanmar ICT Corporation at the MyanmarInfotech in Yangon's Hlaing University.

Data and counter strike game competitions were also launched at the exhibition.
