China's 3G license issuance has become a hot cake in the eyes of the global equipment and terminal manufacturers. "The government has chosen a fairly good time to issue 3G licenses." Yang Hua, Secretary-general of TD - SCDMA Industry Alliance told the correspondent that the 3G issuance makes the independent standards TD - SCDMA obtain a development opportunity with "right time, right place and right people".

It is revealed that in the recent two months, domestic enterprises has input several tens billion yuan encircling the TD network construction and terminal development

At present, China Mobile's TD phase III work of inviting public bidding for network equipment has been initiated in more than 200 cities. In accordance with the plan, China Mobile will invest over 100 billion yuan on setting up more than 100 thousand TD base stations and develop at least 30 million TD mobile phone subscribers in the future three years.
