Feng Ze Yuan

The China old brand restaurant, FengZeyuan was opened in the Mid-Autumn Day in 1930. It is one of the eight buildings' in old Beijing city. It is famous in Beijing for its authentic Shandong flavor dishes. The cooking techniques it mainly uses include quick fry, saut¨¦, braise, fry, grill, slide, and steam. The dishes are characterized by being "clear, fresh, fragrant crisp, tender" and especially fresh. Feng Zeyuan has always been a home for excellent chefs, many of whom have moved here from other locations.

In the 1950s, Feng Zeyuan was an important place for the party and state leaders to host domestic and foreign famous people, such as Hu Zhiming, Kakuei Tanaka and President Bush. In September 1994, the Feng Zeyuan Hotel was built at the original site of the Fengze Yuan Restaurant and the hotel has maintained the original style while adding some modern elements.
