On October 1, 1949
After the founding of the People´s Republic of China on October 1, 1949, the 10th Panchen Lama telegrammed Chairman Mao Zedong and Commander-in-Chief Zhu De, expressing his support for the Central People´s Government and urging the Central People´s Government to liberate Tibet as early as possible.

On May 23, 1951
The Chinese government signed a 17-point agreement (Agreement Between the Central People´s Government and the Local Government of Tibet on Measures for the Peaceful Liberation of Tibet ) with Tibetan representatives.

In 1954
The 14th Dalai Lama was elected as vice chairman of the NPC Standing Committee in the First Session of the First NPC.

In 1956
Dalai Lama was elected the chairman of the Preparatory Committee for Establishing the Tibet Autonomous Region

On Oct. 1, 1958

Dalai wrote in the People´s Daily, in his role as a vice chairman of the top legislature, the National People´s Congress, that the Tibetans had enjoyed full freedom and equality since returning to the motherland.

In March 1959
Dalai supported an armed insurgency in Tibet. He fled to India after it failed and formed a "government in exile"

After Dalai fled abroad
Dalai and his followers produced "Tibetan national anthem", "Tibetan national flag", which had never existed before 1959. And Dalai clique has carried out numerous separatist activities.
