Liu Boming is chosen as one of the three astronauts to to carry out Shenzhou VII space mission later this month. He will be the first substitute for the spacewalk.

space mission later this month. He will 
be the first substitute for the spacewalk. 

Personal: Born in September 1966, in Yi'an County, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, double Bachelor's degrees.

Astronaut Career: Liu was chosen to be an astronaut in January 1998. He was one of the six astronauts in the final training for Shenzhou VI with 1,050 hours of flying time logged.
