Special Report:   One Year after 5.12 Quake

To build the safest and most solid schools which allow people to feel most assured is the solemn promise made by the Chinese Government after the Wenchuan Earthquake last year. Almost one year has elapsed since the earthquake. With the reconstruction fully underway, all parties concerned are exerting every effort to fulfill this promise. However, drawing lessons from the earthquake and building safe schools has already become a nation-wide effort, not only to be implemented in the earthquake-hit regions.
