As introduced by an officer from the PLA's Headquarters of the General Staff, Chinese peacekeeping troops have obtained five desirable merits. 　　

The first is engineering. With the help of constructing equipment and minesweeping devices, these troops could complete a daily task of reviving a five-kilometer road, a 10,000-square-meter airport or houses measuring more than 200 square meters, plus minesweeping in the construction area. 　　

The second capability is survival in the wild. With a nine-square-meter living area per capita, the temperature of the troops' dorms will be adapted through air-conditioners. Water treatment devices, anti-epidemic drugs and food of three-month needs are also prepared. 　　

The third capability is self-defense. As an engineering company, the troops have been well trained. Light armament is available in case of being attacked. 　　

The Fourth is transport. The troops are trained with loading and unloading cargoes and military transport by ships, vehicles and planes. 　　

The last is communication. The company is equipped with powerful radio, commanding vehicles and advanced communications equipment, which enable the troops to connect with headquarters at home.
