Due to the International Paralympic Committee's regulations on the broadcasting of Paralympic events, China Central Television's rights only extend to the Chinese mainland. This means none of the CCTV international channels will be able to broadcast the opening and closing ceremonies, or any of the live events, from the 2008 Paralympic Games.
