The torch relay for the Beijing Paralympic Games has completed its fifth leg on the "modern China" route in northeast China's city of Dalian, in Liaoning province.

A total of 70 torch bearers carried the flame through the city, on Wednesday morning.

The Chairman of the Dalian Disabled Persons Federation, Li Yang, was the first runner of the 3.8-kilometer long relay.

The Chairman of the Dalian Disabled Persons Federation, Li Yang, was the first runner of the 3.8-kilometer long relay. 14 of the torchbearers on this leg were disabled and one of them was popular blind singer Yang Guang.

Li Jingrui, secretary of the CPC Dalian City Discipline Inspection Committee was the last torch bearer who also lit the cauldron. And the "ancient China" relay will head to the city of Luoyang, in Henan province. It will join the "modern China" route in Beijing on Friday.
