The third Central China Expo is set to open next week in Wuhan, the capital city of Hubei Province with this year's event highlighting characteristics of the region.

Organizers say there will be three major areas set aside to showcase the six provinces, as well as overseas companies and industies in Central China. The three-day event will also stress sectors, like logistics, finance, and hi-technology.

The first such Expo was held two years ago. The now annual event aims to provide a platform for domestic and overseas businesses to work more closely together. The previous two expos saw deals signed for foreign investment projects reaching as much as 22 billion US dollars.
