Beijing's Workers Union has mobilized a special campaign to train over 100,000 of its citizens to be better and more effective audiences during the games. |
Workers selected from different industries across the city are undergoing training, ranging from how to cheer, to elaborate choreographed routines involving everything from twirling batons to waving huge colored flags. Those who perform exceptionally during the training will be given "precious" Olympic tickets and selected to be part of special spectator cheering sections during the games.
Li Jinglan, sports fans coach said "If we get the chance to see Olympic Games, we will adjust our cheering and clapping routines according to the different games. But if we don't have the chance, then we are just like little flames, which can still sparkle and influence more people to be good sports fans."
