In response to the U.S. strike on targets in Afghanistan, the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Monday that China is firmly opposed to terrorism of any kind. It supports the measures against terrorism and the relevant resolutions made by the UN General Assembly and the Security Counsul. China stresses that military operations should aim at specific terrorist targets to avoid civilian casulties. The spokesman said China hopes that peace will be restored as soon as possible.
