中央新闻纪录电影制片厂（简称新影）是我国唯一生产新闻纪录电影的专业厂。1953年7月7日，中央新闻纪录电影制片厂在北京正式成立。

　　 建立45年来，新影厂共摄制了5000多部新闻纪录影片，拍摄收集储存了20000多本极其珍贵的历史影片资料，这些影片真实地纪录了我们共和国发展的历史进程。新闻纪录影片曾作为我国形象化新闻报道的主要形式之一，在中国人民的政治、社会、文化生活中产生重要的影响。毛主席于1958年为新影厂亲笔题写厂名，周恩来总理也曾亲自修改过纪录影片的解说词。

　　 建厂以来，新影共有30余部纪录片获“百花奖”“金鸡奖”，有50余部纪录影片在国际上获奖。数十部纪录影片荣获“政府奖”、“金桥奖”等奖项。

　　 1993年10月，经广电部批准，新影厂整建制划归中央电视台领导，迈向了影视合作的道路。几年来，在各级领导的关心和台的有力扶持下，新影厂坚持以生产影视精品节目为中心任务，坚持电影、电视两条腿走路的方针，坚持深化改革，转换机制，建立现代企业制度的目标，团结全厂职工抓住机遇，增强实力，开拓进取，迎接新世纪的挑战。

　　 新影厂现有各类专业技术职称人员300多人，其中具有高级职称者近100人。主要创作生产经营部门有：编辑部，技术制作部，影视资料部、中央新影音像出版社等。


　　 The Central Newsreel and Documentary Film Studio, founded in the July 7th of 1953,is the main studio which making the newsreel and Documentary Film in China.

　　 More than 5000 newsreels and documentaries have been made in the past 45 years,and more than 20000 reels of valuable film data are stored here.

　　 As the main form of public communication,the newsreel and documentary had played great roles in the field of Chinese political, economic and cultural life. The leaders of China had paid much attention to the studio, for example, the studio title was written by late Chairman Mao Zedong and some of the film narrative words were modified by late premier Zhou Enlai.

　　 There are more than 30 documentaries which have received "hundreds of flowers" and "Golden Rooster" award, tens of them have been rewarded by the Government,l Also More than 50documentaries have been gotten award abroad.

　　 From the October of 1993,the Studio has become one unit of CCTV.Under the leadership of varies level of Government and CCTV,the studio insist on making high class TV and Film program.

　　 The number of studio professional staff is more than 300,among them, nearly 100 have senior technical ranks. With adhering to the construction of modern enterprise system, the staff member of the Studio have been making efforts to meet the coming century.
