Leading Henan Opera performers put on classic rural life shows in Beijing

From August 11 to 16, famous Henan Operas including "Chaoyang Valley" and "Fragrant Soul" will be performed in the Grand National Theater by the No. 3 Henan Opera Troupe. In the meantime, a group of new leading performers led by famous Henan Opera artist Wang Quanzhen will take part in both shows.

Henan Opera became well-known across China after the modern classic “Chaoyang Valley.” 50 years later, while “Chaoyang Valley” is still popular, the exciting arrival of “Fragrant Soul,” another classic, offers Henan Opera lovers a chance to appreciate the beautiful and exquisite nature of the art form. Reporters learned that “Chaoyang Valley” this time around will present the third–generation production team to Beijing audiences.
