Chaoyang District builds first snow-melting agent mixing station

Construction of Chaoyang District's first snow-melting agent mixing station was recently completed and the station has passed inspection.

Information shows that this mixing station covers 930 square meters and is equipped with six liquid-conveying tubes, with the maximum amount of liquid stored reaching 2,000 cubic meters. It is the largest snow-melting agent mixing station in Beijing. Its main functions include storing snow-melting agent, preparing and storing snow-melting agent liquid, loading trucks that spray dry snow-melting agent, and filling snow-melting agent liquid.

Workers at the environmental sanitation center of Chaoyang District said that originally it took more than one hour to manually fill one truck with snow-melting agent liquid and filling could only be done on one truck at a time. After the mixing station is put into operation, it takes only five minutes to fill one truck with the liquid and filling can be done on six trucks simultaneously. The filling speed per hour has increased by 60 times and it helps rapidly remove snow and ice in winter to ensure smooth traffic in the city on snowy days.
