NPC deputy Li Jinsheng said: "I totally approve of our government's foreign policies. President Hu Jintao joined our group's discussion of the annual government work report yesterday afternoon and assessed the domestic and international situation. I think his judgment is right. Especially on the Taiwan issue, our country will firmly oppose the separatist movement in Taiwan and safeguard the unification of our motherland. This is an unshakable policy and I'm very happy with it."
NPC deputy Yin Jizuo said: "China's international status has risen in recent years, thanks to an increase of the overall national strength, and China's influence in the world has grown. We have got the right to speak as to the international affairs. But our foreign policy will maintain its low profile, while we focus on our own development, because our economy is still a lot weaker than developed countries."
NPC deputy Wang Wenjing said: "I think China's position in the international community has been higher and stronger. We can see the changes in every aspect, when we go abroad or do business with foreigners. At the same time, we have closer economic relations with foreign countries and intimate cooperation with foreign businesses."
