Audience Share of CCTV Almost Reaches 40% in January, Keeping Momentum in February
The special programming for the Spring Festival launched by all CCTV channels helped CCTV achieve a good start in January 2009, bringing the audience share up to 39.47%, 3.29 percentage points up and a growth rate of 9.1% year on year. Among all the channels of CCTV, CCTV-4, CCTV-5, CCTV-9, CCTV-12, CCTV-News, and CCTV-Music maintained their audience rating while CCTV-1, CCTV-2, CCTV-3, CCTV-6, CCTV-7, CCTV-10, CCTV-11 and CCTV-Children all enjoyed an obvious increase in the share.

In January, 2009, CCTV-1 and CCTV-News鈥 key programs in the bidding section both enjoyed an increasing audience rating, the average rating in Janurary of CCTV News Broadcast was up by 7.1% year on year, the rating of the Weather Forecast reached 9.12%, up by nearly one percentage point with a growth rate of 12%, and Topics in Focus also enjoyed a 2% increase in its audience rating.
