CCTV: A Magnificent 2008 Leading to a Promising 2009
Keeping on the Strategy of Branding and Self-refining
In 2009, all CCTV channels will proceed to explore new experience and new methods to shape a new group of brand programs, so as to improve their brand influence.
As the flagship channel, CCTV-1 will dish out brand new programs during the evening time in 2009, so as to expand the brand influence of CCTV-1, especially that of the prime time period between 19:00-22:00. Best TV series will be selected from the storage of all CCTV channels to debut on CCTV-1.
In respects of news programs, in 2009 CCTV will center on the reports of big events such as the 60th anniversary of the founding of the PRC, the NPC and CPPCC, the 60th anniversary of CPPCC, the 90th anniversary of May Fourth Movement, the 10th anniversary of Macao鈥檚 Return, etc. and all kinds of unpredictable emergencies. By delivering authoritative information and viewpoints, CCTV will continue to take the lead in Chinese media.
In terms of artistic programs, in 2009, CCTV plans to organize the 7th CCTV Witty Skits Competition, the 5th CCTV Dance Competition, the 2009 Gala in Celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the founding of the PRC, the Opening Ceremony of the 11th National Games, etc.
As regards media responsibility, CCTV, under the guidance of the Brand-shaping strategy, will persist in the pursuit of 鈥済ood quality, good character, good taste鈥 in 2009, and will not sway from the road of brand development based on 鈥淕reen Audience Rating鈥. CCTV plans to produce more good documentaries such as Documentary in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People鈥檚 Republic of China and the Three Gorges, which will showcase the quality and charms of a main-stream media.
In 2009, all channels of CCTV will seek to establish a unique brand image according to their own characteristics and orientation; all will only lead to the elevation of CCTV Brand.
