CCTV: A Magnificent 2008 Leading to a Promising 2009
Full Implementation of Internationalization Strategy
CCTV has greatly enhanced its international influence in 2008 by enlarging overseas coverage, starting up overseas bureaus in Europe and America, and especially through the successful broadcast of the Beijing Olympic Games.
In 2009, CCTV will accelerate the building of a broad-covering media with great international influence. To put it more specifically, CCTV will go on to quicken the construction of Russian and Arabic Channels, as well as the delivery of more editions of the English Channel, and to increase overseas coverage and innovate the methods of 鈥済oing abroad鈥, and enter the overseas main-stream society, and hasten the construction of the major overseas bureaus in Asia, Africa and Latin America as well as of the neighboring minor posts.
CCTV aims at building a multi-language and multi-channel broadcasting system that will transmit a visual and audio China to all over the world, thereby becoming a globally influential medium.
