CCTV Hits a New High with an Audience Share above 36%
From January 1, 2008 to December 27, 2008, CCTV captured 36.75% of the audience share, up 1.88% than year of 2007, breaking a new record.
In 2008 CCTV has paid more attentions to program innovation and arrangement. News programs, for instance, have involved richer pictures and more details; and much importance has been attached to the reports of current affairs so as to attract more audience. Especially on important events reporting, we try to refine a profound content and a lively reporting manner, and develop a diversity of programs. All these measures conduce to an increase of audience rating. CCTV has also improved its competitiveness and influence by organizing large activities, elaborating refined programs and shaping brand programs.
