KMT to improve cross-strait ties

The 17th Kuomintang Party Congress has been concluded and Director of KMT's Culture and Communication committee Cheng Li-wen told reporters that the Congress meant a lot to the party's development.

Cheng said that the Congress represents the stabilization of the KMT's position in Taiwan and the process of democratization within the Party. She pointed out that the KMT was determined to improve cross-strait relations, and that KMT Chairman Ma Ying-jeou may propose some new positive policies on the cross-relations.
