Around China – Anyang, 18 July to 24 July

The city of Anyang is located in the northernmost part of He’nan Province.

This is a city that is so old and yet so young its development over the centuries epitomizes the path China has gone through.

In the past 80 years, archaeologists have unearthed, in this region, ancient literature, relics and city outlines that shocked the world because they date back more than three thousand years.

Cultural and historical sites that date back two thousand years have been unearthed one after another and, almost right next to each other.

It is a little wonder that the people of Anyang today are capitalizing on its rich cultural and historical heritage at a time of rapid economic and social transformation.
