Tengchong is located in the western part of Yunnan Province, on the border with Myanmar.

Tengchong is a paradise for geologists because this is where some of the country’s active volcanoes are to be found and it is a region rich in mineral resources. It has long been an important trading center between China and Myanmar. Yet, it has long been shrouded in mystery because it is off the beaten track for most travelers.

Your host now goes on a treasure hunt in Tengchong, which will undoubtedly provide some excitement and fun.
