Macao's oil product prices have been raised, following price hikes on both the mainland and in Hong Kong. As from Wednesday, prices of six kinds of oil products have increased 0.2 pacatas. Taxi drivers said the price hike will add 200 pacatas, or around 25 US dollars, to their costs each month. But they have no plans to increase their charges in fear of losing customers. Electricity suppliers also said, that although their costs are raised because of the higher oil prices, they will not be increasing electricity tariffs at this time.
