Global babycare product maker, Johnson & Johnson, says all its goods sold in China are in accordance with standards set by the Ministry of Health. The statement followed an announcement by Indian authorities that some of the company's products sold in India were found to contain ingredients considered harmful to babies.

An investigation carried out last week detected liquid paraffin, a mineral oil considered unsafe for babies, in three types of products sold in the Indian market. The three products are baby oil, skin care lotion and baby shampoo. Officials with China's Ministry of Health say they are closely watching the situation and have begun making their own investigations. Johnson and Johnson's China office has says its sales across the country remain normal, and has not received any government orders to withdraw the three offending products in China.
