No lower limit on SME loans in Beijing

Beijing's commercial banks will not be setting any minimum level on loans to small and medium sized companies. This is according to a document issued by the development and reform commission of Beijing municipality on Monday. According to the document, banks should give priority to those SMEs, that high technical expertise, sound profitability, low assets-liability ratio and steady finance management. Meanwhile, the commission said banking institutions should innovate the forms of loan warranty, such as stake mortgage. And commercial banks should open special departments catering for SMEs.
